With the reconstruction of the Reichstag in the heart of Berlin's government district, the British architect Lord Norman Foster succeeded in creating a much-admired symbiosis of a burdened old building fabric and symbolic modern architecture. With the help of a ground plan, site plan, 3 b/w illustrations and 11 colour illustrations, this booklet deals with the modern architecture of the building as well as the German history of the last 100 years, which is clearly visible in the Reichstag.
